Svenstol at the Vienna Networks

Wiener Netze is Austria's largest combined network operator. The network stretches over 29,500 kilometres: it comprises an electricity, gas and district heating network as well as a telecommunications network. The pipes and cables laid are strung together from Vienna to Sydney and back. With 99.99 per cent reliability, it is one of the best and safest in the world.

The company moved into its new modern headquarters in 2017. The nerve centre of the energy supply for two million people in Vienna, Burgenland and parts of Lower Austria is located there with several control rooms for the various grids. State-of-the-art technology is used to monitor, control and manage the system from here.

The employees in the control centres have been working on Svenstol 24-hour chairs since 2017.
